Well known artist Michèle Nigrini has recently made the picturesque village of Stanford her new home, relocating from Rosendal in the Eastern Free State. Embracing this fresh chapter in her artistic journey, Nigrini has opened a new exhibition space in the heart of Stanford, on 14 Queen Victoria St.

‘Michele Nigrini Art’ is a small and intimate setting where art enthusiasts can experience Nigrini’s unique creations, including paintings made of and with fynbos – not only are the plants the subject of some of the work, but she has also used dried protea flowers and other fynbos collected from the beautiful biomes around the village as ‘brushes’, to make her marks. The artist’s signature style of ‘gestural expressionism’, characterized by bold colours and dynamic compositions, is beautifully showcased in this thoughtfully curated venue.

Original paintings as well as prints and cards will be available.
